Chicago Golf Training Stretches the Truth
Stretching helps by preparing your muscles and joints for the tasks
that they are about to complete. Most injuries happen when a person has
not properly stretched prior to asking their muscles to perform.
Muscles and joints need to be stretched and warmed up prior to being
asked to endure long periods of activity.
Think of a muscle as a rubber band. When a rubber band is being used
regularly it can stretch quite far, however if a rubber band were put
into the freezer, it would undoubtedly break if stretched while it was
still cold. By taking the time to warm the rubber band by slowing
stretching it out, the rubber band is much less likely to snap – and
the same applies with your muscles.
Joints work similarly and also require stretching exercises to get them
in the proper shape for uses such as golf. Chicago golf training
includes stretching exercises to ensure that the golfer’s body is in
the best possible condition before walking out on the green. By taking
a few minutes of time to stretch you are potentially saving yourself
days or even weeks of pain from pulled joints and muscles.
Types of Stretching
There are many types of stretching that can be done to prevent injury
in Chicago golf training. Think about the muscles and joints that are
commonly used when playing golf. Your arm muscles are used when
swinging the club, and your core is twisted. Your wrists and ankles are
used when hitting the ball as well.
By focusing on what muscles and joints are being used and stretching
these muscles you will develop a stretching routine that is easy to
follow and easy to remember. It perhaps is easiest to start from the
top of your body and work your way down. Begin with your neck, which
can be strained when trying to follow the course of the ball.
Beginning with neck rotations, work your way down into your shoulders.
Shoulder rotations done with just your shoulders, and those done by
rotating your entire arm, are quite helpful. Next stretch your arms and
elbows to keep them in good working order.
Continuing the decent, rotate your wrists and begin to get them warmed
up for the game. Doing chest isolation exercises, you can stretch your
core. Rotate your torso in a similar manner to that which is used
during the game of golf itself, and do so a few times over.
Rotate your hip joints, stretch your knees, and rotate your ankles. By
working your body from the top down you will enable your entire body to
be prepared for the game of golf. These golf exercises are done with
most Chicago golf training!
